TRUCK NIGHT

THURSDAY, JULY 3, 2008

7:00pm START

153rd ANNUAL BIG BUTLER FAIR

All FOUR of the USA-EAST Sanctioned Four-Wheel Drive Truck classes will be on the same track on the same evening!!  In each of the past two years at this pull there have been over 100 different trucks on the grounds.  This is an awesome pull for the fans and is a great pulling venue for four-wheel drive pullers.

The order of classes in 2008 is as follows:

1) STREET LICENSED GASOLINE 4x4 TRUCKS

** (entry for this class closes at 6:30pm)**

2) PRO STREET DIESEL 4x4 TRUCKS

3) MODIFIED FOUR WHEEL DRIVE TRUCKS (‘RWYB Series’)

4) STREET LICENSED DIESEL 4x4 TRUCKS (2.6 class)

Aaron Rupert of Rural Valley holds a slim point lead in the USA-EAST Street Licensed Gasoline Trucks division with his Ford named “Black Sheep”.  Titusville’s Craig Bell is 2nd in the race with an extended cab Ford.  The Street Licensed Diesel class is currently led by the Dodge of Bill Bowser of Mayport, Pennsylvania with “Old Blue – NOS Express II”.  Second in the diesel class is the ever-improving “Social Security” Chevrolet of Dale Bennett from Salem, Ohio.

The Modified class that is sponsored by Cen.Pe.Co. Lubricants within the “Run What Ya Brung” Series had a real eye-opener when the “PowerMax Express” of Salem, Ohio’s Matt Weingart grabbed an impressive victory at Dayton.  And when Fred Virgili’s Ford from Mather, Pennsylvania took his first-ever win in the class a week ago in Brookville with “Never Satisfied II” it became apparent that this was going to be a very wide open affair in 2008.  Jack Kiehl and Ryan Ritzert have once again been the most consistent with their “Size Matters” Chevrolet and that pair hold a marginal lead in the USA-EAST point race after two events.

Justin Wilkins of Fresno, Ohio was on his way to a third straight USA-EAST championship in Pro Street Diesel when the fuel pump on his “Bad Attitude” failed at New Castle and the Green Dodge finished at the end of the pack.  That malfunction has paved the way for his team mate John Lorenz from Dover, Ohio to sneak into the point lead with his “GreyWolf” Dodge.  The aforementioned “PowerMax Express” Duramax is second in this class for Matt Weingart of Salem, Ohio and Ryan Shaffer’s “Gold Digger” Dodge from Port Trevorton, Pennsylvania sits in third place after winning the Buck Motor Sports seasonal championship a year ago.  The reigning champion, Justin Wilkins, is in 5th place currently in this class that is sponsored by South Bend Clutch and by Enterprise Engine Performance.

All pullers must enter through the PIT Gate after 4:00pm.  Two persons per truck will be admitted without charge and will get a Pit Pass with each ‘hauled in’ truck.  Trucks that are driven in must pay for everyone in the truck and will receive a ‘VOUCHER’ that can be redeemed at the time of registration for the two free Pit Passes.  Kids under the age of two are admitted without charge.  All other persons must pay the normal fair admission fee of $7.00.  Entry for the first class – Street Licensed GAS – will close at 6:30pm.  Other classes may enter until the time the pull begins.

The Big Butler Fair is located on Route 422 just west of Butler, Pennsylvania.  Fans and pullers coming from Interstate 79 should enter at the very first gate – where the four lane portion of the highway ends.  This will access the general parking areas and the pit gate entrance.

The admission charge for spectators is only $7.00.  This includes fair admission and entrance to the grandstand as well as many other free attractions on the fairgrounds.  This fee does not include the amusement rides.
