CANFIELD FAIR EVENT IS SET The staff at Full Pull Productions’ is now hard at work preparing for the 2010 season of tractor and truck pulling with USA-EAST. Many of the events that have been on the schedule for a number of years have already contracted for the upcoming season and some new and exciting pulls are planned in 2010.
Rick Feicht, President and CEO of Full Pull recently attending the National Fair Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada and met with some of the larger Fairs that were in attendance. At a luncheon meeting with the Canfield Fair, Feicht was joined by Dave Schreier, President of World Pulling and by Gregg Randall, Manager of the NTPA. Craig Myers, co-chairman of the Canfield Open Tractor and Truck Pull along with Canfield Fair President, Jim Brown, and the Manager of the Canfield Fair, Bev Fisher, led their group at the meeting. After discussions it was unanimously determined to continue with the highly successful co-sanctioning of the Canfield pulls in 2010.
The Canfield Pulls will remain almost the same as in 2009. The NTPA Grand National Circuit will join with USA-EAST to produce a super pulling event for the fans in the Penn-Ohio region on the Saturday of Labor Day week-end. Once again the Grand National Unlimited Modified Tractors from NTPA will compete at Canfield. And again in’10 the NTPA Super Semis and the USA-EAST Big Rigs will join together to bring the best of modified semi truck pulling to Canfield.
USA-EAST will sanction the Limited Pro/Super Farm division with ‘open entry’ the rule again in 2010. And the only real change for the upcoming Canfield event will be the fact that the two truck classes will be run separately with two different purses. Both the ‘Run What Ya Brung’ 4x4 Trucks and the Pro Stock Diesel 4x4 Trucks will have their own class at Canfield in 2010. Each of the USA-EAST truck classes will be limited to the ‘top twelve’ in the point race.
Full Pull Productions will be traveling to Hershey, Pennsylvania on January 22-23 for the annual state Fair Convention. Once this event is completed it is hoped that a tentative schedule can be placed on the firm’s web site.
