Keith Hinchberger and Doug Martin each found their way into the winner’s circle in the talented ‘Run What Ya Brung” modified truck division over the past week-end.  Both were able to secure victories over stellar fields of highly competitive field of modified fields made up of modified gasoline trucks and modifed diesel trucks each running at 7500 pounds.

Hinchberger’s blue 1977 Ford took the win at the Clearfield County Fair in Clearfield, Pennsylvania while Martin’s bright orange Chevrolet was the top truck at the Columbiana County Fair in Lisbon, Ohio.

Hinchberger relies on a Ford Motorsport IDT block to build power at 540 + cubic inches while the GM plant under the hood of Martins Chevy is listed at 610 cubic inches.  The truck is sponsored by Huffman’s Auto of Mount Pleasant, PA.

Martin leads the point with the USA-EAST Series after seven events in 2011 with last year’s champion, Crystal Zedreck and “Little Irish II” in the runner-up spot with Hinchberger’s Ford now firmly in the third place in the point race for RWYB.

The USA-EAST “Run What Ya Brung” division next takes to the track on Friday, August 19 at the Garrett County Fair in Deep Creek, Maryland and then again on the next night – Saturday, August 20th – at the Lawrence County Fair in New Castle, Pennsylvania.
