The Modified 4x4 Truck and the ‘Run What Ya Brung’ Series brings one of the most important elements in the sport of truck pulling to the fans. And that element is the age-old question of which fuel is the best for truck pulling??? GAS or DIESEL??? This division of pulling that is sanctioned by USA-EAST is open to all types of trucks and while there are rules – the class is designed as a wide open truck pulling extravaganza with BOTH diesel and gas trucks welcome to participate. Doug Martin from Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania was the champion in the RWYB division in 2011. Martin’s beautiful orange Chevrolet has well over 600 cubic inches of GM power under the hood and is sponsored by Huffmans Auto of Mount Pleasant – hence the name of the truck – “HuffmansAuto.com”. The runner-up in 2011 was last year’s champion, Crystal Zedreck from Chicora, Pennsylvania was her Chevrolet named “Little Irish”. There are many differences that make the class exciting. Trucks with gasoline for fuel are permitted to run the big block engines with any Cast Iron OEM Block, or any Cast Iron OEM race or OEM reproduction performance block permitted. This produces awesome power and creates the ultimate big block class of competition. And trucks with diesel engines are permitted to run twin turbo chargers and special fuel pumps to produce awesome power on the track. Diesel Trucks taking on Gasoline Trucks in a 300 foot ‘free-for-all’ – that is the essence of the RWYB Modified Truck division, promoted exclusively by Full Pull Productions, Inc. and sanctioned by USA-EAST Sled Pulling.
