During the 2007 season, the owners of STREET LICENSED DIESEL 4x4 TRUCKS had a special point race championship dedicated strictly to the 8000 pound diesel pick-up trucks.  All trucks in this class must be licensed for the highway and must be insured for the highway.  All drivers will be required to present a valid and current driver’s license at the time of entry to each event.  This class is promoted solely by Full Pull Productions, Inc. in Pennsylvania, Ohio and New York

.
This is often called a “street stock” class but the trucks that will compete are usually NOT merely stock trucks.  Owners use all kinds of techniques to make their trucks perform well beyond the level of stock trucks.  With the advent of “chip technology” a mild-mannered street machine can become an awesome street monster in a matter of hours.

Matt Cooper from Portersville, Pennsylvania became the first non-Dodge owner to become a season champion in this division.  Cooper’s “Goin’ The Distance” Chevrolet 2500 was far the best in 2007.  Powered by the 6.6 litre GM Duramax, this incredible machine was the winner in ten out of the twelve events for the street licensed diesels this past summer.  Dodges filled each of the next three spots as Mayport’s Bill Bowser ended second with “Old Blue” and newcomer Sam Tatalovic from Crawford County was third with “Gone Wild”.  Last year’s champion, Calvin Miller of Guys Mills, Pennsylvania, had to settle for 4th place in 2007 with “Runnin’ In The Red”.

Local owners of diesel pick-up trucks are welcome to enter this class when it comes to town, but it will be the ‘king of the hill’ types that follow the entire circuit of events in 2008 to see just who will be crowned the number one STREET LICENSED DIESEL 4x4 TRUCK in the eastern United States.  All trucks that are “running for the points” must be members of the USA-EAST sanctioning body in order to collect 2008 series’ points.  See www.USA-EAST.com for membership information.
